I thought I would do a quick update on our progress so far. I am just going to post a few screen shots to chart our progression. On the playing front we have had plenty of success with our philosophy and asymmetric formation, we are playing some really good football which I am pleased about because I want us to entertain in the tradition of the club.
We have qualified for the knockout round along with Marseille from group D
I have managed to negotiate a new contract for both Enner Valencia and Diafra Sahko both with minimum release fees.
Nikica Jelavic has signed for AFC Bournemouth and will join up with them in January in a deal worth up to £4.4m (2.5m up front 975k over 12 months and 925k after 50 League Appearances) I made the decision to let him go as he wanted 1st team football of which I could not guarantee.
The board have also offered myself a new contract which extends my stay for an extra 2 years.

I have gone ahead and improved our staff and will continue to build a strong staff base
I will update further at the end of the January transfer window.
West Ham United rightly have a proud tradition in English football for playing entertaining, attacking football. It is an approach that has thrilled millions since the east London club was formed in 1900, five years after the inception of our forerunners, Thames Ironworks.
It is enshrined in Hammers’ history that regardless of their status at any given time, whether challenging for silverware or fighting relegation, the club has never sacrificed its long-held football principles. Our knowledgeable fans have come to expect nothing less and they are proud of it.

I like my teams to play entertaining football and control games, on FM15 I used a narrow 4-3-3 with U.S Sassuolo but I am moving away from that with West Ham and will be starting with an asymmetrical formation
I feel this formation gives us full coverage in all areas of the pitch with options a plenty in possession. I like my teams to press with intensity. Manager’s in the form of Jurgen Klopp and Roger Schmidt use this high intensity pressing game. In possession we will look to break at speed overloading the attacking third creating options. I will write more in depth has our tactic evolves during the season.
We have a lot of talent in our first team squad the stand out players being Payet,Lanzini,Valencia,Reid and Sakho. My first team Xl is more than likely the players featured in the graphic above with probably Valencia coming in to the picture on return from injury.
However Lanzini,Moses and Jenkinson are all in on loan so going forward we will need to strengthen in these areas in the future. I would very much like to introduce at least 2 players from the youth ranks every season in to our 1st team squad. Our reserve and youth team will play the same way has our first team along with a training program geared up to train specific roles with in the squad.
Going back to the first team squad we have a number of injuries to deal with and look a little light in terms of back up in certain positions especially in the full back area we have 2 good starting Xl full backs in Aaron Cresswell and Carl Jenkinson but lack depth beyond them.
The Goalkeeper Adrian will be first choice but I feel again we need to strengthen in this area.
I am hoping to be able to keep the squad together has we have a few clubs sniffing around a few players. If we can get to the January window we may have to do some business but I will hopefully prepare a strategy in the event of anyone leaving.
1st team Squad
We are scouting intensively around the globe for youngsters who we can bring in and develop with a view to feeding our first team in the future in line with the boards philosophy. I have also hired highly respectable Head of Youth Development Phil Cannon who will become key to our philosophy in the coming years.
I have played around for a week now on the full game and feel its time to actually start a serious save. I loaded up the Leagues and let the computer choose my starting club. So I am off to London and West Ham United, a club who like to play an entertaining style of Football, which suits me fine.
